Years of sitting behind a desk staring at a computer screen (coupled with bad posture) and day to day work stresses has been a recipe for chronic shoulder pain.  Visiting Sara has greatly helped manage the condition.  The shoulder is pain free for a few weeks after treatment. Sara had taken time to understand my requirements and treated me accordingly and effectively.  Highly recommend Sara.

I have been going to Sara for about 2 years, originally for spondylitis, which she sorted for me and then for maintenance of my neck and back and pressure point work. Lately she has treated me for a cracked rib and bruised back pain. She always seems literally ‘to put her finger on the point’ that’s causing trouble. She is always very knowledgeable and helpful with any problem. I would recommend her to anyone who has any sort of physiotherapy trouble.

I started seeing Sara a couple of years ago for general sports massage to relieve my aches and pains. Since then she has helped me overcome niggling running and netball injuries as well as providing general massage. Sara also helps me outside of the treatment room by providing advice on what foam rollers to use, exercises to improve my flexibility and tips to help ease my nightly muscle cramps. I would recommend Sara to anyone who’s looking for a friendly, professional, value for money service. Visiting Sara is the highlight of my month!

I have been bringing my 15 year old daughter to Sara for over a year now. The massage was originally started as a result of shoulder problems due to competitive swimming and dancing. Sara is friendly and welcoming and easy to get along with which when you are a teenager is important as you need to feel at ease. Having regular massages has helped my daughter and she is now able to train and compete in swimming without experiencing shoulder pain and to dance without her shoulders aching. I would recommend Sara if you need the services of a good, reliable and cost effective sports massager/ physiotherapist.

I’ve had a bad back for a number of years, due to two herniated discs, which despite extensive physio still results in spasms and sciatica, and I regularly get a deep tissue massage from Sara, which does wonders for relieving the tension and pain – I can’t recommend her highly enough.

My name is Nadine and I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2014. Sara was recommended to me by a friend in November 2017 at the time I was struggling with Pain all over my body, my hands and feet were regularly swollen, sleeping was a real battle as I never woke up feeling refreshed and sometimes was living on 3hrs or less sleep per night. As a mother of 3 boys this wasn’t good at all. When I started my treatment with Sara, I was so desperate to feel even 10% better as through my fibromyalgia I had begun having anxiety attacks, became really depressed and life was looking like a never ending disaster.

From my first treatment I felt different I could feel an energy shift and as the weeks progressed my life changed:

1.  I was sleeping better.
2.  I was managing my anxiety.
3.  My energy increased by 75%
4.  I changed my eating habits (still a work in progress)
5.  No swollen hands or feet
6.  Better circulation within my body.
7.  Feeling more optimistic about myself and life.
8.  Became more educated about fibromyalgia.
9.  Better quality of life with my family.
10.  Acceptance of my fibromyalgia.

The journey is not easy, but Sara is so supportive and inspiring I have followed every bit of guidance and advice she has given me because I trust her and Acupuncture works alongside the additional information Sara provides.

Even if you are scared of needles which I was… I would recommend Sara and Acupuncture to people living with Fibromyalgia because it can help create harmony in your life.

I’ve had fibromyalgia for 20 years, initially brought on by a fall at school aged 13.

Over the years, the symptoms have worsened. The pain has become widespread and increasingly debilitating and there have been many other symptoms that have come on such as frequent faints, nausea and vomiting, migraines, increasing brain fog (memory loss, poor concentration etc.) balance and coordination issues, digestion problems etc.

Over the past three years, I’ve been largely housebound and in the last year, bedbound for long spells of time.

I’m always on a mission to find something that might ease things a bit and have tried numerous treatments over the years with limited success, the best being occasional short-term relief for a few hours or so.

I came across Fitness Therapy 4 You on a Redbridge website and thought I’d give fascial manipulation therapy a go. It’s been the single most transformational process I’ve ever been through.

Firstly, Sara sat down with me in the first session and went right back through the symptoms, including illnesses that predated fibromyalgia as far back as early childhood. This in itself was a huge relief. It was the first time ever that anyone had gone to that much trouble and was incredibly insightful at looking at underlying issues and patterns.

The next thing I noticed was Sara’s incredible ability to make connections between the issues discussed and symptoms that are presenting. It’s the first time I’ve really felt listened to and completely understood and that in itself was something special, but that was just the beginning.

After only 5 sessions I am noticing huge improvements. For the first time in 20 years, I can feel I’m beginning to heal and I’ve been given the gift of feeling like I’m back in my own body again.

A big problem for me at the start of the sessions was I had recently developed tics and shocks in various parts of my body when the pressure would build up. Within 2 sessions, they had gone from frequent (constant some days) and severe to occasional and significantly milder. To me, it feels like an absolute miracle.

I look forward to the sessions each week, and each week can feel my body come back to life more and more. It’s made me far more hopeful about my condition and the future.

Sometimes, chronic conditions can feel too complex to address with one treatment but fascial manipulation therapy has totally changed that as it works holistically with all the systems in your body. It’s really fascinating and incredible work. The sessions have already eradicated some symptoms altogether and are improving others significantly.

Sara’s huge amount of knowledge in this area and wider therapies is matched by her warmth, humour, positivity and genuine interest in each individual’s progress. I’m so grateful to have found her and I urge you to do the same.

I’ve also been surprised to hear the breadth of conditions that fascial manipulation is successful in treating. I’d encourage anyone with underlying or ongoing health issues to give this a go. It’s incredibly powerful and really works with your body to kickstart its own healing potential. I’m over the moon to have found this and would recommend it highly. It’s been an absolute game changer!
